LumberMate LM30 13½hp (420cc) Briggs & Stratton electric start gas engine
This mill works good but is a little over rated by Norwood. It can mill 30” diameter logs and boards over 24” wide but can’t handle the weight of a hard wood log that size at 12 1/2 feet length. I bowed and twisted the rails winching one up on the mill. It may handle that size in pine. Also I wasn’t to happy to find out that some parts are made in China and lack quality. Some of the jacks on mobility tow out.

LumberMate LM30 13½hp (420cc) Briggs & Stratton electric start gas engine
Its a good sawmill. But the battery holder i was sent does not fit the model that i have. The battery slides off the platform because there is not a configuration to bolt it down. And the water system does not work correctly either. The rear posts that hold the log in place were froze up when i got it and theyre difficult to move up and down. It will be a good sawmill when i get these problems worked out.

LumberMate LM30 13½hp (420cc) Briggs & Stratton electric start gas engine
Took my time setting up the LM30. Smooth is the best way to describe the performance. I've cut some spalted maple, and some white ash. Soon I will be processing black cherry and beech. The Briggs starts easily even without the battery. Had to try it. I'm pleased with this machine.

LumberMate LM30 13½hp (420cc) Briggs & Stratton electric start gas engine
Unfortunately I have not cut any lumber with my mill . It is assembled and ready to go. Please send this survey at the end of summer for my comments.
Thank you

LumberMate LM30 13½hp (420cc) Briggs & Stratton electric start gas engine
This little engine always starts right up and has plenty of power to cut through my logs. If you keep a sharp blade on the mill, the engine has no problem cutting through even the thick sections of the log.
